Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson is the daughter of British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby (born in Paris) as well as Chris Watson (born in Paris). When she was five, she moved to Oxfordshire where she studied at the Dragon School. When she was six years old, Emma realized she would like to be an actress. For many years she studied at the Oxford branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts a part-time theater school, where she learned performing and singing. Emma's debut on screen took place with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone's release in 2001. It broke all records on opening day and weekend revenues, and was the most-recorded 2001 movie. Critics were impressed with the film and its performance. The Daily Telegraph in Britain that is distributed widely and widely read, praised her performance as admirable.
